Sovereign Health of Arizona’s Treatment Program

Female patients with mental and/or substance use disorders can experience an array of traumatic situations and events that can affect their recovery. Individual psychotherapy is provided to women who have experienced trauma in addition to a mental health condition and/or substance use disorder.

Our clinical treatment team is trained to provide specialized care for women who have experienced trauma. Other trauma-specific and evidence-based treatments are offered to women at our Sovereign Health of Arizona’s Chandler facility, including:

Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessments

Women who enter treatment at our Chandler, Arizona, facility receive comprehensive medical, psychosocial and biopsychosocial assessments. Behavioral health treatment plans use the assessments to diagnose and formulate an individualized plan to treat patients’ primary conditions along with any co-occurring conditions, including substance abuse.

Levels of Care

As no two women are the same, Sovereign Health of Arizona’s Chandler facility recognizes that different levels of treatment are important. Women who receive treatment at our Chandler facility can receive the following levels of care based on their needs:

  • Residential Treatment
  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
  • Outpatient Program (OP)

As patients’ needs change, they may step down to less intensive levels of care over the course of treatment.

Women receive a combination of individual, group and family therapy during their stay. Evidence-based and complementary treatments, in addition to experiential activities, are also provided to women during their treatment.

Treatment plans are individually tailored to meet the needs of women and focuses on enhancing women’s overall health and wellness. Patients are taught to incorporate healthy lifestyle habits and make positive changes in their lives so they can be successful throughout their treatment and in recovery.
